The Mark Moore Gallery is pleased to announce the representation and first solo exhibition of work by Tim Bavington.
Bavington’s paintings might best be described as a fusion of modern abstract art, owing to artists like Gene Davis, John McLaughlin, and Morris Louis; with more contemporary conceptualist painting like that of Ed Ruscha and David Reed.
Recently, L.A. Times art critic, David Pagel and former Orange County Museum of Art curator, Bruce Guenther curated his work into the Creative Artists Agency Collection.
A graduate of Art Center and of The University of Nevada at Las Vegas, Bavington has emerged from the same hotbed of young art that is presently among the most highly regarded in the nation. His work was also included in a major exhibition called, “New American Talent 15”, curated by David Pagel and in “Ultralounge” curated by Artforum art critic Dave Hickey. An online catalogue written by Mr. Hickey can be viewed at www.usfcam.usf.edu.
